WHO WE ARE
OUR STORY
In 2018, a group of friends in Hangzhou connected in a group chat to share their stories as women in business. Following an intimate lunch entertaining the idea of entrepreneurship, the group slowly had a few new invites. Then came a QR code, renaming the group chat to a catchy “SheUp” name, lots more events, two rebrands, and eventually the community became what it is today. Now, we have over 2000 entrepreneurial women in our community across China and from over 65 different nationalities!
Our goal has always been to inspire, encourage, and connect women in business. Three years later in 2022, this hasn’t changed, but we are going to do more — beyond running community events and group chats, we are building a sophisticated and holistic platform to help women and their businesses succeed.
